The Gillett Agricultural Education program prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources systems.

Classroom Instruction:

The Gillett Agriculture Department features the following:

  • Classroom
  • 7-station computer lab
  • Greenhouse
  • Aquaculture tank
  • Food science laboratory

Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE):

Every student in agricultural education is required to conduct an SAE during their time in class.  SAE projects are designed to be tailored to the interests of the student.  Here are some examples:

  • Owning animals or working with plants
  • Exploring the opportunities in agriculture
  • Over 40+ areas students can choose from!!!

FFA/Leadership Development:

In 1950, the 81st Congress of the United States, recognizing the importance of the FFA as an integral part of the program of ag education, granted a Federal Charter to the FFA.
