Oconto County Breakfast on the Farm Scholarship
Dear Graduating Senior:
A priority of the Oconto County Breakfast On The Farm Committee is to give back to our community in recognition of the strong agriculture industry in the county and community support of the annual Breakfast on the Farm event. To further that priority we are offering scholarships for Oconto County graduating high school seniors. One $300 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from each Oconto County school district and one for county residents attending out of county schools or home schooled.
Award decisions will be based solely on information from the application. Therefore please be as specific and thorough as possible in completing the application. For your information the attached rubric document outlines the relative value of various parts of the application that will be considered by the selection committee. This application is available for download in a Microsoft Word file from the Committee Facebook page at ocbotf.com. It is preferred that the information be typed onto this form, saved with a different file name and emailed to Scholarship Committee Chair, Ken Harter at kharter@plbb.us. Applications may also be printed, completed, and mailed to Ken Harter, 305 N Oakland Ave, Oconto Falls, WI 54154. Applications must be received or postmarked by Friday, May 1, 2015 to be considered.

Wisconsin FFA Foundation Scholarships
The Wisconsin FFA Foundation scholarship application is available on the Wisconsin FFA website. This year almost $34,000 will be awarded! Thesescholarships are generously provided by companies and individual endowments to Wisconsin FFA members.
The application can be found on the Wisconsin FFA website under the “programs” tab. Please utilize Excel to complete the application as the application is NOT Google docs compatible. All applications are due to be postmarked by March 16, 2015 to the Wisconsin FFA Foundation office in Madison.
Applicants must be a senior in high school or enrolled in a university or technical school and have maintained a satisfactory scholastic record in school. FFA members need to only fill out one application to be considered for all scholarships for which the applicant qualifies. A listing of allscholarships and their criteria is also available on the Wisconsin FFA website.
Please encourage FFA members to start working on the application now and submit it by March 16th!
United Cooperative offers $30,000 in scholarship funds
Jan. 15, 2015, BEAVER DAM – United Cooperative, based in Beaver Dam with locations throughout Wisconsin, is pleased to offer 30, $1,000 scholarships to graduating high-school seniors pursuing agricultural or nonagricultural majors.
At least seven of the scholarships will be awarded to students majoring in an agricultural field, and at least three will be awarded to students attending a short course or technical school. The remainder is available to all majors (i.e. nursing, accounting, pre-medicine, etc.). The scholarship application deadline is March 3, 2015.
Applicants will be judged on their leadership skills, scholastic achievement, extra-curricular activities, motivation, and academic and personal goals. To be eligible, the student or the parent must be an active patron member of United Cooperative; the student must attend an accredited college, university, or technical school; and the student must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

2015 National FFA Scholarship Program Update
WinField Offers $1,000 Scholarships to 20 Students Pursuing Agriculture Related Degrees
The Careers in Agriculture Scholarship Program is available to high school graduating seniors and first or second year college students pursuing two- or four-year degrees in agronomy, crop production, or closely related fields.
To qualify for the program, a student must:
Be a high school senior, graduating in spring of 2015; or
Be a college freshman or sophomore;
Demonstrate leadership abilities and academic performance;
Complete an application including two reference letters and official transcript; and
Write essays describing the importance of farmer cooperatives, and why he or she is interested in an agricultural career.
All applications must be postmarked by Feb. 2 nd, 2015. Winners will be notified by mail in April 2015.
